So I own several pipes, but the one pipe that stands miles above the rest for me is the Rossi Sera 8320. I would like to get more for like it for my collection and use them for the brunt of my smoking. I’ve looked at the Rossi Notte (it’s none rustic) and the Rossi Vittoria. My question is, how long should I rest my briars? Would three of these pipes serve all my needs if I smoke only one bowl a day with a 72 hour rest for each?

Greg L Pease just conducted an experiment on his instagram account. He smoked the same tobacco in the same pipe for a week. He was very methodical and meticulous in his approach in effort to be exact from day to day.
Its well worth checking out.
I can’t find his page. Do you mind sharing a link?

One of the best qualities of briar is its extreme resistance to absorbing moisture. If you thoroughly clean them after each smoke, they'll dry out in under a couple of hours.

Thanks for this one. A lot of people think that briar is absorbing moisture like a sponge. On the contrary it is resistant to moisture. Most of it will be absorbed by ash while stirring the finished bowl before emptying and the action of a pipecleaner. Then the pipe should be ready for another smoke.

There are pipes I will smoke several times a day, day after day, with no ill effects. However, there are some slight risks. While tobacco oils don't really penetrate briar to any great degree, water can, as has been shown here. And since briar varies from pipe to pipe, there is the chance that you might develop a shank crack at some point.
Aside from that remote but very real possibility, you can enjoy briars repeatedly as long as you are studious about cleaning them after use to avoid them getting sour.
I do find that resting pipes for a few months after periods of use provides benefits of return everything to "normal".

That depends on how many pipes you have and how often you smoke. I, for example, smoke once a days and have about 35+ pipes. That means, I smoke one pipe a day and it will get about a month's rest. On the other hand, old timers had one pipe and smoked all day long. That means, their pipes were used like $5 whores at Tijuana without any rest.

I have lots of pipes, 125+. I get on a kick and will smoke a pipe for a week straight, 3 to 5 times in one day. Then I get bored with that pipe an another one catches my eye. I do use pipe cleaners during and after a smoke but that’s it. I will deep clean them all ever year or two when I get really bored or one stats to taste funky. Works for me. Your mileage may vary.

It depends on whether you smoke wet and leave a lot of dottle or you're a dry smoker leaving mainly ash

If you smoke wet, then despite the advice "you can smoke multiple bowls for a whole month......" you will be left with a sour pipe.
When I started smoking pipes years ago as an impoverished undergraduate I could afford just the one pipe and smoked mainly goopy aromatics.
You can guess the results.

I learnt that having a few pipes and letting them rest and dry out completely before smoking them again made a HUGE difference to my enjoyment.

If you are a dry smoker, there shouldn't be a problem smoking several bowls end-to-end in the same pipe
