OK! I am really watching my wording on this post.
Would it be possible to have a pin made so that a device could hang from it? Very similar to the devices, expert, marksmen, etc which hang from marksmanship medals. I am thinking of three, [Closed], Epic and Haja.

Nothing really! A minor dust up is all. No serious injuries, couple of flesh wounds . . . nothing requiring more than a butterfly dressings. There was even a group hug and handshakes all around.
Cops showed up and cleared the playground. The last of the parents just showed up, gathered their children and everyone has returned to their homes.

Awesome guys, and I apologize for my absence. I have been stuck in a high school lunchroom all weekend with my girls as they competed in a debate tournament this weekend. I am setting down now to get this ball rolling.

And,I'm so glad to be off of school property, so that I can smoke. ::

I just got off of the phone with the casting house.
I will make the prototype design out of my own materials and time. No charges for that. And, I will pay for the initial shipping to and from the casting house. It's in my state, but still father than I want to drive.
The initial molds will be $30.00, and each injection of wax is $5.00. And, to tree up the pins, cast them, and tumble is approximately $20.00. The cost of the silver is dependent on the weight of each piece, but I estimate it to be $5.00 per piece. Not too outrageous, and to use a pewter or less precious metal isn't going to save us much.
I will then get these, stamp them, polish each one by hand, and add a pin back to each one. I will supply these. I have a whole bag of them left over from an order a few years ago.
If I make 30 of these. They will run approximately $30 (give or take a few dollars) plus shipping to you. I will shave off corners as I go to make this even less than this if I can. I don't intend to make any money off of this. I just want to do what I can for our community.
I started carving out a blank, and I will keep you guys posted. I am trying to design something really different from what is out there already to make this worth it to you guys.
I also have a few one-of ideas for pipe pins. All will be disclosed as soon as they roll off the bench.
:: It's nice to be chained back to the workbench with my pipe.
