This evening, while enjoying some vintage Tilbury in my churchwarden clay, I had a mishap.

While bringing the stem to my lips, I was momentarily distracted, plunging the stem into my right nostril as far as physiology possible. Perhaps a bit further.

Question:
I’m sure that many of you have had a similar experience. Is there a sanitation process now that I should follow? I don’t want to ruin this pipe.

Thank you.

Note to self : Do not ever puff on woodsroad pipe if offered.

It's your own nose, wipe it off with some disinfectant. You probably ate your own boogers when you were a child. Who knows, perhaps into adulthood. We all cough up a wad sometimes. You never struck me as being so sensitive.

Ah! The fine art of nose smoking, or as the Italians call it "Fumo Di Naso". Its really the only way to experiance a truly expensive blend like Tilbury or any other Esoterica blend. Fumo Di Naso is itself pretty esoteric, but I find it far more enjoyable experiance than the French way, aka "Trou du cul fumer".

@Ahi Ka Would you recommend it to the Clay King???
Out of stock at Smokingpipes.
I don't think I can beat my best time of 54 minutes...
Halfdan.
Who is the Clay King?
Who would be worthy of recommending anything at all to a King? Albeit of Clay?
Lastly, where is your other halfdan? Dan?

There are many more questions for the world to know. This is a sufficient start?

@B.Lew "Clay King" is my nickname among forum members; it was @The Amish Tyrant who came up with it, as I smoke clays exclusively. Halfdan is a Viking name; it means half Danish. I don't know if I actually am but my dad's from Hull originally which is an area Vikings settled in.
I christened one of the trees I helped plant in Staveley "Clay King" as it's in a clay soil; the Clay King got bogged down in his favourite pipe material:)
Grassmoor Country Park (one of the Don Catchment Rivers Trust volunteer sites) is a thick gooey clay soil as well; I got stuck in my favourite pipe material again...
