The red tip pic looks worrysome, like it's been blood-stained.
That's great no intracranial penetration was involved. For a second, after looking at the "blood-stained" bit, I was suspecting a gory story behind it.

The Big Rock Candy Mountains
This evening, while enjoying some vintage Tilbury in my churchwarden clay, I had a mishap.

While bringing the stem to my lips, I was momentarily distracted, plunging the stem into my right nostril as far as physiology possible. Perhaps a bit further.

Question:
I’m sure that many of you have had a similar experience. Is there a sanitation process now that I should follow? I don’t want to ruin this pipe.

Thank you.
Nose, eh? Well, so long as no other orifices were involved, carry on.

How on earth do you accidentally shove a pipe that far up your nose :ROFLMAO:. Just to be safe, might go to your doc or an ENT to have them make sure your sinus' are okay, the tissue in your sinus' are incredibly fragile.

I think chopper got it in post #25. What's in your nose circulates in your mouth, in the bacterial and viral scheme of things. In term's of keeping it appetizing, you might want to wash off the bit. But biologically, there's not much point.

A house fly on your sandwich is worse, and I doubt most of us would throw out the sandwich. I'd continue with lunch to keep my immune system on the ball. Unless I was eating the sandwich next to the cow pasture. Then I might break off the bit where the fly landed and continue munching.
