What's the consensus on what the best brand of pipe cleaners are? Which do you all prefer to use? Its gonna be time for me to order some here soon and I was just curious.

I use a variety of brands. I like White Elephant best for general use because they have stiffer wires that don’t bend easily; I use Falcon Extra Thin for late 19th Century/early 20th Century pipes with narrow draught holes; I also use BJ Long Tapered, but I find they shed a lot of fluff (I also use their Churchwarden length for my bigger pipes and Churchwardens). From various purchases I’ve accumulated a variety of off brands that come in handy for less critical cleaning.

I like the Vauen blue cleaners for everday use. They seem to do a fine job if I have to use them to absorb any moisture, and they seem to clean quite well. They’re a little fluffier and since I favor more open draw, most of my pipes have draft holes on the larger end of the spectrum.

I keep several packs of the Brigham bristle cleaners around also, but they are narrower, so I don’t use them as often, but they clean very well when they fit.

I've been using Vauen cleaners for years and was thinking they were the best.
Then I tried Peterson cleaners and never looked back. They're perfect. Same stiff wire as Vauen but stiffer bristle and better absorbing fluff. I use both bristled and soft Peterson cleaners.

I like White Elephants as they have more backbone than the more popular BJ Longs, though they are more expensive. Lately, I've been using Stanwell branded cleaners and they are like White Elephant. I keep around a pack or two of bristle cleaners for those times when you know.... In the end, any brand will get the job done

I buy BJ Long tapered ones, because I can find them in bulk, buying boxes of them at a time. But really, I would be interested in which ones to avoid and for what reasons.
It should be like buying drinking straws or popsicle sticks... it really should be rare to find bad ones. They serve such a simple and basic function.
