I use kleenex or paper towel, far more absorbent. Though I keep a couple of pipe cleaners in the pouch when on the road.
I do pretty much the same. I see where pipe cleaner can be bought in rolls. I may get a roll and cut as I need it for different size pipes.
Deep thought of the day: Whenever you clean a pipe you literally become a pipe cleaner.

I prefer bristled pipe cleaners and I don't re-use.

Sometimes. I usually use the modeling pipe cleaners as they work great on ancient pipes. That said I also use feathers as well.
I only use BJ Long Tapered Fluffies and BJ Long Tapered Bristle. I buy them when in stock at PC as they are only 2.00 a package. I buy 25 packs of each at a time as I don't believe in ever running out of anything I need. I go through a ton when I clean my pipes. I rarely ever use one while smoking and only if a piece of tobacco gets stuck. None of my pipes ever gurgle from moisture, if it did I would get rid of it.

P&C has them. Eight bucks for 52'. Seems a bit high since you get 50' in a standard 100 count for less than three bucks. I'll have to look some more.
My attempts to construct earth-friendly DIY pipes cleaners, made of pet hair and St. Augustine grass, has been a failure. Until I perfect it, I'll continue using mass-produced ones.
Yes agree. Not sure why I read feet. I found a science lap supply site that does have a roll of 12 feet but it's more expensive like $30. I guess stick to the normal packages. ?

I fucking new it. PC has been slowly burning off their supply of bJ LongI I bet my haul a few weeks ago cleaned them out good. Smokingpipes has also had supply issues. Give 4noggins and marscigars a try and t=see what they have,
No one touched PC prices. Most are all around 2.79.
