briarclub: I guess you like small pipes huh? I'd want a sherpa to carry some of those around.
Awesome collection,
Phil: That's a nice little poker. Nice that the stinger comes out and leaves you with a normal tenon. The screw together jobs are pretty much a lost cause IMO.
Any markings on it?

I've had one pipe in the past that had one of those "stingers" in it.

I always thought it was used with a filter.

I don't use filters so I (quite probably) may be mistaken.

From what I understand it's supposed to be a condenser. It will catch all the moisture in the smoke, and then assumedly turn it into magic fairy dust that tastes like the nape of Kate Beckinsale's neck.
Of course I guess it didn't occur to the geniuses that putting a metal restrictor plate in the airway is the best way to create condensation in the first place. Paging Dr. Venturi.

I already don't remember what blend I smoked in it!
As I recall...first smoke resulted in "fine gray ash" with "only 1 light"! LOL! I'm not sure what Jonesing is doing wrong!
Seriously though, I'm pretty certain that I smoked a burley/cavendish blend that usually smokes pretty cool, and maybe a tad wet. In this pipe, though, it seemed to smoke a bit hotter than normal, but dryer that normal. There actually was very little moisture at the bottom of the bowl, but it didn't smoke all the way down on one light (pipe must be defective).
It is a bit larger & heavier of a pipe than I normally smoke. Love the shape...not sure how I feel about the size yet.

Love the Poker Bytor.
I have one of those pipe stands, I use it for my gourd calabash.

It works well but it has to go in the stand backwards.

Bytor... very nice addition to your collection! Any of us would be proud to have... so just let us know if it gets a bit too heavy.

Sweet Stanny Bytor. They make the best "factory" poker I've seen. The Savinnelli is pretty cool to (311 is it?). Phil don't you have one?
Here's a Luciano that I'm resisting right now. I will not buy this pipe. I will not buy this pipe.

Jonesing, that is one of the new Pease/di Piazza Luciano pipes. I picked one up at the Chicago Show in a different finish. I was THE first person to own one of the new Pease/di Piazza Luciano's. You should grab it while they have it. They smoke great!

Here is my latest, a Peterson "Outdoor Series" pipe. It is normal sized but the stem is really short (=easy to take with me and put in a pocket).
