Very, very difficult question. The problem is really that I like a lot of pipes equally, as well as blends. These combos would be in a virtual tie:
  • Michael Morgason pencil-shank billiard with Best Brown Flake
  • Peterson virgin rusticated Aran Canadian with Full VA plug
  • BST thin-shank Christmas Dublin with shaved St. James Plug
  • BST large bent billiard with Sutliff 507-S

Had you asked a few months ago, i'd have said Frog on a Log in my Stanwell Bordeaux 183 bent brandy.
But that was before I bought a Savinelli Hercules 320EX, and before I tried Presbyterian.
The Frog is still something I save for a special every now and again, but gotta make it last, I only have about one and a half tins left.

Time and tastes do change! Two years ago, I would have said Esoterica Penzance is my deserted island tobacco and a Dunhill 6103 Billiard was my pipe. Now I don't care as much about which pipe I smoke as long as it's straight, fits in my chops well, smokes well and is ascetically pleasing to me. I would probably choose GH&Co Dark Birds Eye or Rum Flake for the tobacco.
