Nice looking Pete. Don't see too many new pipes with amber stems. I like the looks of the silver spigot a lot, both Peterson and Savinelli.

I have always hoped they would bring out a 'cutty' with an amber stem but so far no luck. That being said it sure is a beautiful pipe!

Rather than start a new thread I'll post this tidbit here. I had a short email correspondence with Peterson. They (Darrell) report more pipes with silver mountings, including attached wind caps are in the offing, "but it won’t be for another few months at the earliest." I may have to dip my toes in the e-tailer market as these models will apparently be introduced through their recently acquired "Smoking Pipes.Com".
I'm looking forward to this as, I suspect, are a couple of chosen silversmiths. Time will tell but, the information brightened my day.
