CAn anyone tell me how to date my Peterson Mark Twain edition. It does not have numbers on it so I know at least it's from 1983-90s.

There are silver hallmarks on the bands that will provide a date. And, it's easy to google a Peterson silver hallmark chart to match what you have to one.

Not your birth year but I think that's the earliest non-numbered MTs. Someone with a 1985 might be willing to trade you for it.

The 309 needs to come back. I prefer the 313 but I know a lot of guys love the bigger pipe. Such a classic shape shouldn't be retired. Same with the 308. How big is the chamber on the 309 ? My Irish Second XL339S chamber is 18.5 by 38.5 mm. Just curious ...

Okay, I'll check this out and let y'all know what I got. I'm hoping for my 1985 birth year.

As 85 is my birth year I can confirm that the letter U hallmark is the one for 1985. I have two birth year Petes myself, a deluxe 12.5s and a deluxe 4s.

The hallmark is easy for me to remember as my last name also starts with the letter U
