100%They need to look at the 2017s and go back to the drawing board.
While I don’t love the style myself, it does look like a cohesive design.I bought one of these Savinelli 2018 Christmas pipes so i'm not really in a position to criticise

Yeeeaaahhhh 90% of Castello's portfolio is ugly as all fuck.It’s better than any Castello i’ve ever seen.
It smokes well which is the main thing. I must've been overcome with the Christmas spirit when I bought it.While I don’t love the style myself, it does look like a cohesive design.
Thank you for the link ! That was very informative. So they are not just caps but formed mounts like many found on artisan pipes and some french designs like Butz-Choquin of a few years ago. That shade of green doesn't appeal to me as much as a Jade green would. I think a silver or nickel ring would add some appeal though. Unfortunately, I think I have purchased my last pipe already ... a Peterson Pub Pipe. We'll see ... the PAD is strong here ... resistance may be futile ...View attachment 279591
