I should probably clarify that the only one of those I find to be attractive is the smooth finish. I think the reddish stain contrasts nicely with the green band. The others I find too dark and unappealing. Hopefully they look better in person.

I'll be passing on this one however. I don't pick up the SPD pipe unless it's distinctively Irish, which this offering is not. I agree, the design could have been approached better.

Even Peterson pipes that I have wouldn't buy for myself, I generally find somewhat attractive (or at least understand why others would).

But that green ferrule? cap? is just too much. A thin band in that material would likely have looked nice, but the pipes shown just look clunky to me. Hard pass.
