Perplexed with Time

These are things that shift overall in society, but let's keep it to smoking. I dont need to smoke inside and I don't have the urge to force someone else to enjoy my bad habit like my kids. I'm inside a lot, I have a desk job and enjoy being outside so it's no punishment for me to smoke outside as I can pick my moments, it never rains all day.

Well, for me, if I couldn't smoke inside, I would just never go inside. I find that most restaurants or coffee houses, even Starbucks, when I ask if I may smoke my pipe tell me, "sure, the no smoking signs are just for cigarettes." So, I find that people love the smell of my smoke. I have absolutely never had anyone tell me likewise. And, I always find it interesting that so many smokers just assume that people don't like the smell of a pipe burning.

I've had mothers come up to me in the grocery store and ask if their kids could smell my pipe.

Until I got on here, I never knew that a pipesmoker would just assume that people would be against their aromas.

Actually, my mind is blown by how many men admit that they let their wives make them smoke outside. There are things that shift in membership over the years. When I first joined the whole forum would have cracked up at someone saying that they "had" to smoke outside.

makes sense to me. Why should the smoker get to impose their will over the non smoker. It's a choice we made and smoking inside forces it on our wives. To me just seems like being a decent human instead of a petty tyrant.

yeah this winter has had these bitter windy days like not smoking cause i am having trouble using a lighter with these frozen fingers. Negative temps and lotso wind. Worst part, there then are days like today that feel like early march. Chilly and damp but comfortable need a coat but don't zip it up.

Well, I’m finally discussing turning the garage into a proper man cave with insulation/heating, proper exhaust, ?/radio , decor, etc….freezing my ass off out here whilst watching you lot has pushed my timeframe I think. ?️

And, I have found that aromatics once burned, smell worse than any other pipe tobacco, once the initial room note settles.

Nonetheless, nothing is being smoked in the house.

I think that it is heavily cased tobaccos that smell like ashtrays. Aromatics and cigarettes both have a shit ton of casings.
