I read somewhere that a cigar factory's best rollers are assigned the most difficult shapes, and they take a lot of pride in it.

Having smoked a Padron 1926 in the Perfecto shape last night, I now totally "get" how well a cigar CAN be made.

Absolutely perfect draw, and the ash held the cigar's shape the entire way down. You could even see the pattern of rolled leaves in the burning end that had been cut off (both ends were sealed points).

Two hours and ten minutes of heaven, and no re-lights or "compensation lights" for a crooked burn required at any time.

Next stop: Win the Mega-Millions jackpot and buy a pallet of these things. 👍

I smoked through a box of Padron 1964 series "torpedos" this past summer, and EVERY ONE smoked flawlessly........... Great burn, wonderful flavor.....
I've had a few 1926 seies, but not the perfecto shape. Padron makes a damn good smoking cigar, I've never been disappointed.

I like those Padron 80ths, but do wish it were the 1964 blend, which is why I buy the 1964 Piramides much more often.

To me, the peak of perfecto perfection is the Fuente Hemingway Masterpiece. With a couple years of age, it is a 3+ hour tour de force that while consistent, has enough nuance to keep my attention.

As a matter of fact, next bonfire I'm at, I'm burning one of them.
