Prefer backing in about 80% time except for shopping trips in the family car (Since the trunk is at the back)

In the angled parking typically I would pull in, but sometimes would also reverse in. Don’t understand why I have to go the wrong way… all my cars have had small turning radius as far back I can remember.

Here is a reverse parking in a one way mountain parking lot with angled parking. It was easy to pull out in the right direction of traffic.

It only drives me nuts when someone backs into the spot next to me so close that I can't open my door. I had to get in on the passenger side once. Was REALLY tempted to give their spotless BMW the key treatment that time.

Anyway, backing out of a parking spot is easier than backing into one. I rest my case.

Safest way is backing in and such makes for a safer exit.
I used to work at a factory that asked people to back in for this reason, the safety manager was very eager to give that a try after some wrecks during shift changes. It did have a positive effect, but it didn’t stick after the experiment, most folks reverted to parking however they liked. I like to back in, but it’s a case-by-case basis. If I’m going to create more problems than I solve by backing in, it’s head-in parking time. Unless, of course, I’m preparing for a quick getaway, but those days are long behind me ⏱️ ;)

Still not ok to me. They usually drive the wrong way up a parking aisle so they can back into slanted parking, clogging up the lane/traffic, and making everyone wait for them to finish before they can move. Usually right past a giant yellow arrow pointing traffic in the opposite direction. And for what? It saves ZERO time. We are forced to back into parking spots in the military and I know a lot of the local rednecks in my area do it because of that. I mean, actually serving in the military isn't NEAR as patriotic as wearing flag t-shirts, putting gun stickers on your truck, and parking like you served...
You live in Memphis. People can't drive for shit there anyway. They should park nose in...

I have a big truck.

I park backing in frequently because it makes for easier departures and whatnot. I can put my truck between the lines forward or back, but some lots do not accomodate trucks my size so I have to be at the back of the lot.

I feel this way about people who pull in head first. I honestly have to resist the temptation to key the side of the car every time I see it. If you haven't got the ability to reverse into a marked bay, you shouldn't be on the road at all.

Solution is to do like me, ride a motorcycle and park it between the bollards in the gore area.

Some maybe think that's a dick move, but I never park where I'd block wheelchair access, and as many times as I've made my motorcycle as visible as possible in the space (back in since the front profile is larger than the rear), don't pull all the way into the space (so you can see it sooner, etc), I've had my motorcycles hit multiple times parking in a normal spot "like you're supposed to", and it's not fun dealing with it all the time, especially when it gets backed-into by a car that has backup cameras.
