Well I paid $30 for my tin yesterday... but it was for the SPC fundraiser dinner, so it was a charitable donation.
=)
Glad that deal all worked out for you Seadog.

Just ordered another bag of And So To Bed. Not a huge fan of Penzance. It is a nice change of pace from time to time though. Actually prefer Star of the East.

I never said Seadog is the same as Kyle black, I simply stated it's a member at the time selling a very sought after pipe blend that had just popped in with very few posts, and how pipe smokers seem to think if someone smokes a pipe that they have to be an upstanding citizen of society automatically. Now that he's started posting I think he does great reviews and is a great addition to the forum. He made me revisit my half pound of McC's full dark english and I'm really glad he did as it's a great blend. It's just a matter of forum rules being applied equally to everyone. Personally I don't just trust someone automatically because they're a pipe smoker. Now that Geoff has taken the time to contribute to the forums he's shown he's a good trustworthy guy. There's usually not much to indicate a scam until the scam has taken place.

I appreciate your thoughts and candor Andy. I'm almost at the magical 100, and have enjoyed the fellowship on this board, so I probably will post again with some stuff to sell. The prices might be a little above what some are used to paying, but really its not that much over and don't forget I paid shipping to torque and sent an almost full tin as an extra. I'm not looking to make any real money...in fact I'd rather help any here who are interested in getting their hands on some rare baccy they want to try and/or cellar without a great deal of hassle. Personally, I don't mind traveling 20 miles to a shop, looking around, buying and then mailing it out to a friend who does not have my fortune of geography.

At this time I would just like to remind the floor that the sticky rules in the actual buy/sell/trade area of the page are quite specific. Rules three and four come to mind:
- A member must have a minimum of 100 valid posts to create an ad (i.e comments with some substance)

- A member must be in good standing for four months prior to posting an ad
Forgive me. I am very new here. I am not a mod, facilitator, and of course not Kevin BUT these people are smart and well respected. This is their forum and we should play by house rules. If I am out of line, I apologize.

Pipebaum,

You are not so new as I and as I said this wont happen again for my part. Thank you for the reminder though and I thank all for indulging/forgiving my misstep.

Not out of line, but his transaction was done via email days ago since the recipient already has it so superfluous maybe.
The new guy already stated he was waiting to post more after he hit 100 so I am sure he won't mind waiting til the end of Feb when he hits 4 months in good standing.
It is ALWAYS good to look out for one another though, so I appreciate the effort you are making.
Have a good evening!
