It's good stuff, when I first started with Lat, I stocked up. Any of you relatively new should try these .I went from Ryo, to Capt black, to English .No takers? I know it’s Latakia, but it’s free.
There has to be a new pipe smoker on here that wants to try an English blend.

I started with Captain Black and other Aromatic blends. Fried the crap out of my mouth. I bought some English/Scottish blends based on forum recommendations and found them very forgiving on my mouth and I enjoyed them. I bought a bunch during a P&C Peterson sale. I have found my favorites to be Virginia and burley so the last of my Latakia stock is just sitting. I want someone to enjoy these while they are in the sweet spot age wise.
I should add that I fried my mouth because , as a new pipe smoker, I was using poor prep and technique. It wasn’t because Captain Black and other aromatics are not good tobacco. You just need to know what you are doing to enjoy them. For me it meant drying more, packing looser, and smoking slower. But it took me a while to figure it out. I found the English blends to be more forgiving of bad technique. YMMV

Yes, these are great blends to introduce a new pipe smoker to English blends and Latakia in general. Each having different levels of Latakia. I still have them if anyone is interested. I have a coworker who would take them if I offered, but he is well cellared and I would like to see them go to someone on the board who hasn’t tried them but would like to. I think its the "im not worthy" thing. I have it, and know many others that suffer from it. The thought is that I dont NEED this, and there is definitely someone who hasn't tried it who is more worthy.
