@lazar: Distortion would have been a better word for me to use than exaggeration. I actually agree with you that there is a huge injustice problem, but I don’t believe it’s primarily race or gender based. IMO those individual identity issues are artificially overemphasized...essentially for divide and conquer purposes.

If you look around you'll find even long established businesses have adopted some sort of social issue. New startups are almost guaranteed to have some social issue they support. It's a requirement if one wishes to sell products to the people born in the se3venties and eighties or later. These youngsters weigh social positions when determining what and where to buy.
Young adults stay at home for longer periods (not many jobs for those with a degree in Social Sciences and such), they make fun of cars as they can't afford them and so deride the automobile. Many in my generation used cars to define their personality. They couldn't wait to own one. Now, kids/young adults ride buses and use "Uber."
Home buying is down for the same reason. Since they can't afford one, they deny wanting one.
A family? They can't afford it so voice opposition to it.
Kids! Gotta love. Don't have to understand them.

Don't know if you guys watched the new Spiderman movie, but Peter Parker was the only white kid in his school. Despite this there are many people on the internet blasting the movie for lack of diversity. Specifically that Peter Parker is white. Oddly they have no problem with almost all of the villains in the movie being white males. I'm guessing the ones complaining are the same people that complained that there were too many white males in Dunkirk.

Thanks Warren. I haven't been called a youngster in forever. Makes me want to put on Star Wars pajamas, make popcorn on the stove, and watch Jaws.
There used to be laws against dodging taxes and doing evil. Now, anyone who takes the Constitution to heart and believes in the freedom of the American Dream is labeled PC or a Social Justice Warrior for speaking out against oppression. I would love to not talk about politics. But, there are harmful chemicals in the water, air and food. Our planet's plants and animals are going extinct at a rate comparable to when the dinosaurs were killed off. I have to work two jobs to make rent and pay MY taxes while morons inherit unearned wealth without being taxed and are set for life. Politicians don't care as long as Wall Street and too big to fail corporations are happy making their little wars and profits. We are hurtling through space on a wet rock in an entirely hostile universe full of asteroids, comets, X-ray blasts from neutron stars, supernova, black holes and rogue planets while anyone who actually CARES about the life on Earth being preserved is called names like we are in a third grade classroom instead of a rare biosphere.
People say, "If you don't like America, why don't you leave?"

Well, I don't want to be a victim of its foreign policy.

Sorry about the rant.

I just hope for the kids' sake that Iron Man's tits look great.

there is still a huge amount of racism and other forms of injustice which cannot be dismissed as just "PC".
Mods, please delete this thread as it has gotten political and I could puke...

"all that does is highlight that these problems still exist - and with the current administration have gone mainstream."
Jesus Christ, what an imbecile. Just another fruitbat projecting what he wishes the president was doing so he could bash him for it. People not misbehaving the way you want them to? Easy peazy, just claim they are anyway.

There used to be a thing called "entertainment". Personally, I've found it very difficult these days to find a movie, comic book or even an opera that hasn't been twisted into a serious social commentary piece and emptied of any entertainment value.
If I want your opinions,I'll ask for them. Otherwise keep your opinions on politics to yourself...

Lifelong Archie Fan, so most of what they print is similar to what it has been for decades. They pulled a Coke/Classic Coke thing in the last few years. Changed the art all up. Made the stories a little more intriguing. Then they come up with Your Archie Comics to go halfway back to the original art, all the while never getting rid of it for some titles.

Where did Richie Rich and Sad Sack go are my big concerns

Really? You go after Tuold? That statement isn't even political, it's clearly about social agenda in entertainment. I don't believe any of us need your permission to post on this forum. Or am I missing something?
BTW, Thor as a woman with cancer, and no hammer, is just a woman with cancer.
