Easily worth the $80, I love those rustics! Is that a "Buckingham"? Do need a shot of the nomenclature to ID the year range. Is there a stinger on the tenon?

Unfortunately there no picture of the stamped on the back i will post it as soon as i receive it , there no stinger original owner must have throw it away thats is unfortunate. I can’t wait to deep clean it and wax it with Halcyon II . Thanks for the response i’m pretty excited its my first estate pipe to my small collection , will get a dunhill as next buy i’m keep looking for a decent pot shape one.

If it has a patent number, then it's 1946 thru 1950. If there is no patent number, then it's post 1950. Need to see more nomenclature to offer any more info.

It's the Victoria shape, 71S (saddle stem). The markings will date it. Going by the dot pattern on the stem in the one picture, I'd say it's pre-war to early post-war (1946 -50), I suspect the latter.

Is it worth 80$ to you? I think that's all that matters. I own nothing but billiard Pipes. That's a beautiful pipe you have. Funny we are on Sasieni. I am smoking a Barling Post, one of my favorite pipes. I was told to never buy a Post, they are trash by all the experts. The experts are wrong. Buy what you like.

Good call Dave, I thought that bowl shape was wrong for a Buckingham.

Here's what the Victoria stamp looks like, this one, in excellent condition just sold for $170.

Going by the dot pattern on the stem in the one picture, I'd say it's pre-war to early post-war (1946 -50), I suspect the latter.

The four dots form an equilateral diamond and are large. That didn't happen until after WW2.

Looks like it says "fantail" on the underside.

No they didn’t. The original fantail pipe would have had an F stamp in the stem.

"Fantail" is identified as a Sasieni second in the Pipedia article. In that instance, it wouldn't have a four dot stem.
