Im not a huge aro guy but this one gets a thumbs up.
C&D Aro’s I dig are Autumn Evening🍁Visions of Celephais🍇 and King Cake 👑🎂
None of them goop up, gurgle, bite or require a ridiculous amount of relights. They all burn clean and taste great too!
Autumn Evening is my favorite tobacco so far! And, now I gotta order Celephais and King Cake.

Thanks a lot. Lol.

King Cake is a cracker and actually smells and tastes just like the cake you get in New Orleans

Opening my first tin of Peter Heinrich’s Golden Sliced. This has been on my Virginia buy/must try list for quite a while and I finally got around to ordering a tin.

I do not recall getting a tobacco in a paint style tin before. I took the handle of a spoon and went around the circumference of the lid to get it opened and upon opening I was presented several long flakes bundled together in a coil.

The tin note of the Virginia has filled me with anticipation of what is to come. I set a small amount aside to smoke today on my journey to work, going to give it some drying time - though my squeezing it not much is probably needed.

Plans are to keep a small amount in in to smoke through this month and I’ve cut up several flakes to place in Mylar to smoke in the next couple of years.

(this post is taken from another forum thread, but I think it's on topic) Opened a tin of RMC Oxford Street — the aroma is stunning, a clean prune/black plum note right out of the gate. And here’s the surprising part: the composition is identical to Boutique Blend, but the result couldn’t be more different. Oxford Street gives you a beautiful sweet Virginia up front. The Orientals are present, but lightly, they don’t interfere or add sharpness. Latakia is there in a microscopic dose, and honestly — that’s exactly the right amount for this profile.
The outcome? Two blends with the same ingredients, but completely different personalities. And Boutique Blend, for me, is simply un-smokable compared to this one. Oxford Street is a gorgeous everyday mixture — balanced, sweet, easy, and genuinely enjoyable.

Opening a box of SG Chocolate Flake Burnt Ends.

This is my first venture into the Burnt Ends style. I recall being interested in giving it a try when they first started making them available - 2 years ago or so it seems. I could have sworn when I made this order I was getting regular chocolate flake - rechecked my order and Indeed ordered the burnt ends version. No harm, no foul.

Tin Note: dark cocoa aroma and a cinnamon like spice I’m trying to put my finger on 🤔

Going to Mylar most of it up for a slumber in my cellar and keep a few pieces out in one of my tasting jars to smoke on in the next couple of months. Interested in how it will stack up against Bobs Chocolate Flake.

Wessex Gold Brick Virginia Plug

Haven’t had this in a few years. Opening it up and shaving enough for a couple bowls off and putting the rest in a heat sealed mylar bag. Ran out of jars and the next thing I’ll be doing for the next few days is transferring over some of my half jars to mylar.

While cutting this I realized I need to invest in a plug cutter for all my plugs that are in a long slumber I’ll get around to cutting. Kitchen knives just aren’t cutting it. Literally.

Recently pulled some older Orlik tins from the cellar, all from 2014. Three danish style aromatics with natural tasting tobaccos and some sweetness, offering a mild, flavorful smoke.

The Golden Mixture is broken VA flake with some ribbon cut burley and cavendish—I get orange and honey flavors. The Club Mixture is creamier, with flavors of vanilla and caramel. And the Mellow Mixture has a fruity, chocolate flavor. In all three, the toppings are light and allow the tobaccos to come through.

Enjoyable all-day smokes.
