The Olympics constantly overstep bounds of tradition, even decency.

What about those mixed events? Just filler, IMO. Are they recent or have I forgotten 4 and 8 years ago?

If you can't differentiate between genuine and acting, I can understand the cynical view. By the way, I do agree to an extent. Watching Simone Biles facial expressions and body language, she was less than genuine with her team mates and competitor's success. So there were exceptions.

They are certainly recent but I don't remember if 3 or 8 years ago they were already there.
I also disapprove, they don't know what to invent anymore to dilute the soup.
