You’re not THAT old (there are some real geezers here). Welcome and that is splendid about your pop, hope you both get to puff like chimneys- to his health! My oldest is really getting into the pipe, they have fond memories of it from when they were small, it is awesome to be able to share that with him.

Hello. I am 57 years old and decided to try it. My father smoked pipes for 50 years (18-70). He is still alive today (90) and is healthy other than a bad knee/back. We made him quit at 70 because my mom had heart failure. I had mild asthma as a child and was into sports so in 1980 he only smoked outside. Needless to say i now feel guilty for taking one of his passions away. I want to connect with him better and want to understand the pipe. I plan to visit him in Spring and want to take pipes and a really great tobacco an see if he want to smoke with me.
Never to old to learn!
