Johnny I had to put him down, turned mean, got a Female this time from Abney in Abita Springs, runt of the litter,she's pretty, Tri Color,wanted a smaller dog. Later I"ll post a pic.hows your Catahoula?

Gosh that's too bad that happened Brad. Don Abney is obviously an authority on the breed & a well respected breeder so I'm sure you got a good dog. Mine just turned 4 yrs old on Aug 11th & is doing great! Its been a few months since she was last weighed at the vets but she weighed 58# which is right in the range for a female of 55 -65#. With the long body they have I don't want her to get heavy & have problems in her back or hips. She gets along great with other dogs & people but she does get worked up over joggers & cyclists (I think it's the wheel spokes turning). She goes with me just about everywhere she can.
