Novelty and Pipe Smoking

If I want a cigar, I'd smoke a cigar. If I feel like a pipe, I'd smoke a pipe.
I just don't see the pointof a "briar cigar". A bit like "veggie meat"

I can face a day in the office now that I've had my rant for the morning ?

From what i've been seeing these days, i'd say the reverse calabash is the latest novelty. they seem to be all over the place, everyone and their moms makes one.

On another note, I really wish they would stop using the term "Calabash" if it isn't made from a gourd.
A Calabash is a gourd, not a hunk of wood.

Here is a genuine novelty...the all marble pipe. Acquired as part of an estate pipe lot I purchased, or I would never own 1. It will most likely crack if actual use ever took place.

Marble has a pretty good thermal shock point, which might make it a pretty good smoker. If it were mine, I would at least try it.

I have smoked smaller marble pipes before with other leaves. Never had one last more than 30 days.

It is a novelty as long as you store it in your shelf far away from your pipes... stare at it from a distance on a plexiglass from time to time maybe?
