What are you Mates planning for New Year's Eve?
For me I plan to catch it on "Re-runs" .
Not going out to celebrate because all the amateur drinkers will be out in force.

I agree that is pretty much "amatuer night." I think a night full of pipe smoking, a potent potable or two and some movies I want to see on Netflix will be in order.

I will be walking around downtown St. Petersburg where there will be big street parties where all the restaurants, clubs and bars participate. There will be live music in the park and they close a section of Central Avenue, set up a stage and have a big party.
I will watch the fireworks at home from the Penthouse.

As a professional tippler I always choose to stay home. We started a tradition of hosting a New Year's bash about 15 years ago. We're expecting about 50 people tomorrow night. Making the last booze run this morning. Costs us a small fortune but always a great time.

At 12:01 the musicians here (and there will be least six) will grab some of my guitars and keyboards for a impromptu New Year's concert. Nothing like making music after 5 hours of drinking.

I'll be home probably smoking while my wife is at work. So, yeah. No big plans... I kinda wish I was in St. Petersburg with Kevin. Sounds like a great time!

I'll be at the fire-station in case one of the revelers downtown decides to do something really stupid, as usual.
On each of the New Year's Eve's that I've been off over the last 25 years, I've been at home; safe and warm, and far away from all the amateurs and their lunacy. :D

I usually head down to our board walk and hit up a couple of the local bars but since I had a kid this year we are just having some friends and family over and doing it all here.

The more I think of it.... the more I like the idea.

I'm gonna take a few of my old Universal DVDs to the station, lay up in bed with my portable player and waste the night away.
Damn, I'm gettin old..............
