Been a big Scottie Piersel fan for a while now but to finally have her pieces in hand I have to say she's an exceptional pipe maker. Will report back after a few more smokes...

I know it is a bit esoteric to list Jerry Perry of Colfax, N.C., since he does not sell pipes online, but if you want a pipe carved of Mountain Laurel, he may be the only known source. So here is a reminder that one of his two annual sales, this one at the TAPS pipe show at the N.C. Fairgrounds in Raleigh is coming up April 4, 2020. So if you are in striking distance and would like an a fine pipe of Mountain Laurel, make a note. The other opportunity will likely be at the N.C. State Fair at the Village of Yesteryear craft building in October. Jerry does have pipe repair featured online. He says if he sold online, he'd spend all his time taking pictures. Being somewhat low-tech myself, I understand.

Been extremely pleased with Ryan Alden. I have 11 or 12 Rad Davis pipes now, all estate although a couple were acquired unsmoked. Wish Rad were still carving, what a marvelous Artisan. 1 Ruthenberg but will buy more as they come available in carves I like. Great drill on the one I have. I have a handful of Larrysson pipes and another handful carved by his Son Isaac. All great looking, drilled perfectly and great smokers. Have a couple of Tinsky pipes. Not quite in the same category as those previously mentioned, IMHO, but still a good value for the price he sells them at.

No one has listed Alex Florov! The Chicago area master crafts incredibly beautiful and great smoking pipes. That’s one dangling from my lips in my avatar. Check out his work at SmokingPipes.com.

I had no idea you had that many Rad'a Mark, damn you added them quick. I feel honored you laid off the one I got. One day I want to see all the pics. Maybe we can trade them like baseball cards. lol. I only have 2 Aldens, I would buy more if I could find one I like, been slim picking lately. I will buy another Scottie when I see the right one. She needs to lay off the pencil shanks and make some real pipes like the Billiard I have. She made this one so perfect as it takes a flake of F&T CVP or Vintage or SPecial Brown Flakes like they were meant to be, a quick fold and stuff and the top is perfect it isn't to tight one good light and your off to the races. Actually once you get to 15 Rads, you need t let me get to 25 as I only need three more. I figured that would be nice number to quit at.
