Right. I think it’s with the growing leaves as well. After they’ve been cured the nicotine is mainly inside the leaf not oozing out like on a live plant.I think it's mostly from handling raw fresh "green" tobacco as that's when you're touching many lbs of it during harvest or when pinching suckers. The leaves are so sticky and a thick layer will build up on your fingers. I've only had a mild effect from it, but I'm only growing for myself.
