Blackhawks, Rangers, Bruins, Sharks.....all local teams were I have lived.....where are they??

Hawks and Sharks missed the playoffs entirely. Rangers and Bruins got bounced in the 1st round. Poor Boston got the President's Trophy, set the all-time league record for wins, in fact. Just goes to show you how anything can happen in the NHL playoffs.

Sharks played their first couple seasons at the Cow Palace, if I remember correctly. Back in the day when a team could score eight goals in a game...and still potentially lose. Goaltending has come a long way in the last 30 years, thankfully...

They tried. But at first they were actually selling them in the arena.

Blue jackets here. Obviously the big prize is Bedard but the top 4 is absolutely stacked. This was a great year for us to be the walking wounded and grab a top 4 pick. The tragic loss of Michkov’s father combined with the normal KHL drama will be interesting to follow for the next couple of years.

Absolutely. If Michkov wasn’t under contract in Russia he would automatically be #2. I don’t think any team passes him up at #4, but you never know, he might even go #2 if scouts think he’s too good to pass up. The death of his father (being found in a pond) is sketchy.

All Canes today. Killing off that 5 on 3 disadvantage early in the 1st must've pumped them up immensely. Very deep team they have, and quick on those loose pucks. Even heading back home for two, NJ is in trouble.

The Devils surely have the talent to compete but the Canes are smoking them. I wonder how the change of venue will affect the series.

Boston made the mistake of looking beyond Florida, too. That team is hitting on all cylinders right now and shouldn’t be overlooked, I wouldn’t think.

I'd have no problem with this outcome. So long as Edmonton and Toronto lose, I'll be happy. The curse must live on!

As with all these games I have my favorites I root for - but bottom line ?

I always hope the Cup winning team does it without a controversy from bad ref calls or lack of. Too many games have been ruined by crappy officiating. They have 4 guys out there, video reviews and they still can't get it right.

VGK lost so now it’s 1-1.

It’s disheartening to see the Oilers play so dirty when they had the game with a quick jump in the first.

Evander Kane is a horribly dirty player. Had been for years. He’s always fighting with Vegas. Hell, I thought he loved Vegas, at least that’s what my bookie says.
