Ooof. The stench of failure may not be so easily washed away in the visitor's locker room. It may carry over to Florida on the flight tomorrow. The only greater known stench is the tin note of Captain Black Grape.

What's crazy is that Hill stepped into this role in place of an injured #1. To think that he's in position to hoist the Conn Smythe...that just confirms how wild and unpredictable the NHL playoffs can be. All these talking heads in the media should just take a vow of silence, because they invariably end up eating their own words.

...and Florida STILL has yet to win a SCF game. Going to be an interesting one as the series shifts to America's Wang Florida.

Edit: I should also note that the record for PIMs in the SCF is 53. Tkachuk is already at 36, and we've got at least two more games. I wonder what the Vegas odds are on him breaking the record...

It's only a fire if Darnell Nurse comes along and pours some Oil on it (and cross-checks it in the back on his way out), and Darryl Sutter puts some Flames to it.

Kings should TOTALLY fire McLellan (Xmas cheer?) and rehire Sutter...

The nearby Hershey Bears are in the Calder Cup Finals, starts Thursday. My local station has been showing the games. The Capitals have six prospects, who are playing well. (We need some young blood!)

#72 certainly upped his game. If the series ends up being decided on Florida ice, I hope Bettman gets pummeled with rats. And they don't all have to be toy ones.

Every year after the playoffs are over, there's a season ending press conference where it comes out what injuries the guys have been playing through. It's always something that would absolutely cripple a normal human being, let alone something one would volunteer to work through to be able to get their name on a trophy.

Athletes are different.
