Hey from central North Carolina and welcome aboard. i've recently rediscovered Lane Limited HGL in an old jelly jar at the back of my cabinet, and found it a pleasing mild smoke, kind of a beginner's blend, but in a good way, and highly pleasing to my wife who called to commend it from the other room, no less. I also like Sir Walter Raleigh Aromatic, burley based with Virginia as a condiment and flavored with three liqueurs. For sturdy English blends try C&D Mountain Camp, Tuggle Hall, Old Joe Krantz original, and Billy Budd.

Thank you sir! Lane Limited seems to make very nice blends, I’ve only tried 1-Q and it’s damn good! My wife’s favorite room note so far is cherry, so I smoke Blood Red Moon when she is around. I will certainly give these other blends a look, thank you for the recommendations!

Welcome from Seattle. We just recently moved from Central Florida last summer. We lived in Orlando from 2002 to 2013 and then Tampa from 2013 until 2022.

You're correct as far as there not being much of a pipe community in Central Florida, but there is a a pocket of people that get together every now and then at Edwards Pipes and Cigars in Tampa.

@hoosierpipeguy coordinated a get-together early last year that was a good time.

Corona Cigars on Sand Lake used to carry some pipe tobacco blends behind the counter several years ago (Nightcap, Early Morning Pipe, some Ashton blends, etc.), but not sure if they still carry any. Edwards in Tampa carries several bulk blends as well as few tins. It's also a cool spot to smoke a pipe and have a cup of coffee if you're so inclined.

Happy Puffing!
