I watch Muttonchop I like him I like several different ones on YouTube. They talk and show a lot of things that I see asked on this forum from new smokers. I have never understood we’re pipe smoking is a hobby. Collecting stamps is a hobby. I use to smoke three packs of cigarettes a day. If that’s was a hobby that’s one hell of a hobby. When I was young and seen someone smoking a pipe they seemed to have some class to them. Class is what this country is lacking today.

Bremen Pipe smoker, Beans, and Pipes, tobacco, and whisky are channels I watch often.
I don't like how many channels try to generalize pipe smokers, or try to commercialize their channels.

I like bunch of guys on YouTube. NWpipesmoker, Portland PipeSmoker, Eric the bluecollarpipesmoker, Pipes Magazine Radio Show, etc.
I see the various channels as a means for pipe smokers to talk to each other - but rather than post on a forum, they do a Virtual Reply via their own channel.

Some YouTube channels are interesting, some are less so. Some Forum Topics are interesting, and some are less so.

For me, what is valuable and interesting often changes from day-to-day. And, that includes the pipe tobacco in my pipes. But, I can ALWAYS agree that pipe tobacco in my pipe is a helluva lot better than NO pipe tobacco in my pipe.

They generally fall into these categories, those who repeat myths they found on the internet, talking about pipes and tobacco they never smoked or The Hipsters / Peaky Blinders wannabe. I guess there will be good ones. I have not found them. Bare Pipe to restore pipes is good. What I like is listening to Brian Levine's podcast. Read Books on pipe smoking and study old catalogs of pipes
Someone needs to start a YT channel just for that...not just for cob smokers, but strictly for the downtrodden ones.
Don't do as muttonchop does, but I do watch muttonchop as he does whatever he does. I enjoy him and a bunch of other YTPC fellers. But it can be more entertaining with a hair more effort.
Many of them get too preachy about who and what a pipe smoker should be. Like it hasn't dawned on them that anyone can smoke a pipe.
Not much to add to this than already has been discussed. I’m just appreciative of the fact that there are YouTube videos of people promoting pipe smoking and giving advice and tidbits when I took up pipe smoking 4 years ago.
Had there been something like this 20 years ago when I first picked up a pipe and tried gopping wet aromatics, I may of stuck around 20 years earlier. I could never figure out the appeal of pipe smoking then when I couldn’t keep the pipe lit and no one to ask for advice.
Some I started watching a few years ago got me through the learning curve. I don’t tune in much these days to YouTube pipe smoking channels unless I’m looking at cellar videos or reviews.

True true, they will say and I quote "smoke your pipe upside down if you like who cares it's what you want to do" and then you'll hear, and I quote "a pipe smoker should be a gentleman with proper pipe smokeing etiquette" I can care less about the opinion videos or certain how to videos. It's not rocket science, I bet we could put 100 monkeys in a room with a packed pipe and a lighter and 1 would figure it out eventually and hear we are lol. Mutton seems like a great guy, but when I watch him I must watch at 1.25x speed to stay sane. Sometimes 1.5x.
