Same. Unfortunately. The Mac Baren rep I spoke with said they thought it was unlikely they'd be coming back ever.
Wonder why St. Bruno hasnt been affected but other Mac Baren products have? I'm guessing since Brexit they're having to pay an increased tariff on individual blends exported to the UK. Both Westminster & Mac Barens are losing money as it stands now so hopefully they'll come to an agreement in the near future.
Think I'll pass on the new Summer Blend but I'll get a couple of tins of the Jubilee one. Even if it turns out to be no good, be a nice reminder of the old queen.?

That one's pretty interesting, because it's distributed by STG. Their rep, who was one of the most helpful people I've ever reached out to, said that they had no plans to stop distributing the following Mac Baren blends:
St Bruno ready Rubbed
St Bruno Flake
Gold Block
Original Flake
Highland Mixture
Capstan
Bells Three Nun

And she went one further & confirmed through her contacts what the Mac Baren rep had said.

So it seems to be (at least in part) a distribution issue rather than a manufacturer one.

Cheers Mr. Toast!?
Hopefully Revor Plug will be safe as well then, think that's still being distributed by STG.

There was some scuttlebutt a while back that Revor might be being discontinued because of Brexit. I panicked and bought 10 bars but it doesn't seem to have come to pass, thankfully. I check the UK tobacconists from time to time and they've always got plenty in stock?.

As far as I know it is only sold in the UK. I think if they made it available in the US it'd sell really well. Maybe this whole deeming regs business means they can't sell it???‍♂️

So, initial impressions time!

I'm pretty impressed with them both based on the first couple of bowls.

I'm not really into aromatics, but I'm glad I tried the Summer Reserve. The tin smell is out of this world & I'm super-impressed that they've managed to make it taste sort of gin & tonic like. I doubt I'll buy more but I enjoyed it as something a bit different.

The Jubilee Blend is a whole different beast. I really hope they'll consider making this on a permanent basis, because it's one I could see myself reaching for plenty. The flavour is pretty consistent & the burn quality is top notch. Taste wise I'm primarily getting a buttery caramel with a touch of the same slightly barnyard fermented sour I get from Germain's Brown Flake. It's very undemanding & genuinely delicious.

Thanks for giving us your thoughts?. I absolutely adore Germain's Brown Flake so i'm looking forward to trying the Jubilee Blend?.

Just had a look at that, it's not one I've seen before at my usual online go to - & it looks delicious. Thanks for the heads up!
Mysmokingshop has the largest selection of Shag or they did have the last time I bought a load. Funny, apart from Dark Birds Eye a lot of pipe smokers don't bother trying the rest out.
If you do go for a few samples, make sure you try both the straight & aromatic versions as the difference is substantial.
Kendal Dark / Kendal Gold with Perique / Kendal #7 / Kendal Mixed. All of these are worth trying, at the end of the day even at our age who'd say no to a decent shag??

I'm in the UK but I can see a big advert from smokingpipes showing 3-4 different shags available on the forums home page. They're showing it as 'Vintage Cut' for you chaps in the states.?
My understand is that the vintage cut is supposed to be more of a ribbon as opposed to shag. The regular DBE and Kendal Kentucky and the like are shag.
