Just thought I’d mention that there are new (to the U.S. maybe?) Robert McConnell blends in stock at Smokingpipes.com.:eek:

I think the OP is referring to the new Dunhill clones? I am also a fan of their Oriental and Scottish blends, but I cannot find any info on tobaccoreviews about these new tins. The McConnell blends that supposedly are the Dunhill 2.0 blends have different names, i.e. Early Bird for EMP. Cup O Joes and SP list the EMP replacement as Boutique Blend???

Not all of these McConnell Dunhill matches have easy to recognize names. A key might be useful for some.

I wonder how close these are to the last true Dunhill iterations. I'd much prefer the 3 (5) Year Virginia if it went lighter on the topping.

I only see two Robert McConnell blends, and they’re not new... however this time around they are letting you 5 as opposed to just two...

I was wondering if these were the Dunhill clones. I ordered 4 tins this morning of 4 different blends. 2004

What unfortunate names. At least when Brigham did these, you could tell by the name and tin art which one was what.
I was thinking the same thing! Also probably unfortunate market timing for McConnell, with the Dunhill blends supposedly returning late this year. Can' t help but think they made the decision to roll forward with these before they knew that.......

some Esoterica also

It must have been a matter of seconds between me putting my tins in the shopping cart and the "currently out of stock" note appearing again. This is really weird! I didn't even got my email notification. Thanks for the heads up, Don!

Yeah, it goes crazy fast. Stumbled on it by chance in my usual "morning rounds" and within 5 minutes 3 of the blends I bought were out of stock. They have Balkan Sobranie as well, btw. Germain dropped them at the same time.

It's my first time, I went through this, though it's the only opportunity for us Europenas to get the Esotericas.

Now it appears on my bill, that I have ordered 6 tins of Dorchester and 2 of Dunbar, which I did not do. That shouldnt' either be possible due to limits of 1 tin. I Already contacted their suipport via email, though...

Haha Maybe those "illigally" baught tins of mine will soon make it again on their website, when they realize that mistake. So be prepared, boys!
