Now it appears on my bill, that I have ordered 6 tins of Dorchester and 2 of Dunbar, which I did not do. That shouldnt' either be possible due to limits of 1 tin. I Already contacted their suipport via email, though...
Hahaha, WTF? Hopefully that doesn't botch your order. Maybe you just had an unobtanium seizure and kept clicking out of instinct. Happens to the best of us.....

All energy flows according to the whims of the great magnet.

As always, Hunter has the solution!

Apropos literture. Today I got my copy of Dharma Bums as you have recommended it some weeks ago in the What are you smoking thread. Looking forwardd to that! On the Raod was great in my opinion!

Haha! Glad you caught the reference! Dharma Bums and Desolation Angels are probably my favorite Kerouac. Have to be in the right mood though. Sometimes if I'm too anxious it just seems like a free association diarrhea wonkfest.

Just got this via email:

"...It looks like negative quantities were input during checkout, so we have cancelled this order..."

$115.60 seems to be quite a sum for "negative quantities", though...

Dang, I was hoping we’d get some other original McConnell blends, not the Dunhill clones. I don’t care about those but there are other McConnell’s that are not available in the states that I’d be all over.

I'm not too good on the phone in English, but they got another mail from me with the request of processing the order that I have placed ( positive quantities of a tin each of Dorchester an Dunbar)... I guess it's hopeless, though I don't like to be BSed.

Yeah, no kidding. Hope it works out for you, what a SNAFU. Well, I'd keep my eyes out on other sites like 4noggins or some of the smaller tobacco shops. Arango dropped the same Esoterica/Balkan Sobranie blends at Cupojoes, Hilands, and Tophat last week so I would think some other sites will get their shipments soon.

Not all of these McConnell Dunhill matches have easy to recognize names. A key might be useful for some.

I wonder how close these are to the last true Dunhill iterations. I'd much prefer the 3 (5) Year Virginia if it went lighter on the topping.
Haven’t smoked a shred of these yet, but the eternal question of “which Dunhill iterations” is virtually beyond the reach of mankind’s knowledge at this point. It was confidently stated at one point, though, that before everything switched to Murray’s some of the old late 1970’s- early 1980’s blends that came in tins that said “Made in England” as opposed to “Made in the UK” were in fact made in London by Robert McConnell. I just don’t have any clue as to which ones those were at this point in my life. But perhaps, when K&K bought out McConnell in the later 1980’s, some recipe books came in the deal? Who knows. K&K makes a lot of tobacco that people seem pleased with these days, so you might find a few you like.

Finally realizing that they were clones after I bought some, I kind of thought the same.

I had their Elizabethan clone once. Not a bad blend but way more heavy in the topping than the STG version. One thing that I always liked about the Dunhills was their cut, which is reproduced by K&K excellently.

I have found that 4Noggins often has original McConnell’s blends in stock. I just checked and a lot of them are still in stock.
