Thank you. Churchwardens are actually my personal favorites. I only have 2. One is a piece of junk. Smokes terribly, and I’ve given up on it. But the other is a 2000 GBD that’s been my favorite pipe for 20 years. But now I have 3!nice. Very robust for a churchwarden type pipe. Despite what some people say I consider those a great style of pipe and comfortable to handle.
I love those as well. I have a Savinelli “Gandalf” 901. I love it. But I strictly smoke aromatics in it. I’m planning to designate this Nording as my English churchwardenBeautiful pipe. I enjoy semi-churchwardens. They are a pipe of about 7 1/2 inches in length with a medium size bowl. Your new pipe should last you many happy years of smoking.
My first ever churchwarden was a GBD I bought in 2000. They released them in conjunction with the films, & each respective was branded with 1, 2, or 3 rings. Here’s mine! I still love it.I guess you all know it was the "Lord of the Rings" movies that made them popular.
I bought mine when my doctor told me to stay away from tobacco.
If you haven't one already, you should purchase a MM Shire. It is a semi-churchwarden with a nice bowl and a wonderful feel in your hand. I love mine.I love those as well. You know, I believe I just might! I was literally just on the MM website looking at their Cobbit Series churchwardens, then I popped back over here to the forums and saw your comment.
