Not sure about the "SoCal military transplants?" But it's called Norf Cack by many between here and Charlotte.

I sometimes called North Carolina this term and had no idea that it was actually used. <mind blown>

I started smoking pipes in college in the mid 90's and stopped due to financial reasons. Just found my stash of pipes (and some nice tobacco!) from the 90's and started down the road again. Thanks for providing a friendly and knowledgeable forum for discussing pipes, tobacco and all related things!
