GH are assholes. They cannot even come close to meeting the demand of their normal blends, now they come out with new stuff?
I have no GH product in my cellar and all of my Samuel Gawith stock is 2012 and earlier except for one blend and that is Cabbies Mixture which I only have maybe 25 tins of the original release. . I bought it on a whim with no test tin as I figured if it was from SG it had to be a winner, it isn't to my tastes.
As if these problems are of GH's making.

Go complain at your GH distributor or EU legislators. A few months ago everyone here could buy their fill. If anyone's complaining about not having GH it's their own damn fault.

Wish I could try these new ones. GH is my favorite producer. GH and SG are what I smoke 95% of the time.

I’m counting the days until the SG contract runs out with their American distributor. Unfortunately I don’t know how high I need to count.

They never really have supply problems here in the UK and it's possible this is a UK only blend like the Reunion Series they introduced. If that's the case I doubt they sell that much as the UK is a pretty small market when compared to the US.
I'm grateful that they introduce the odd occasional new blend as over here we get very little in the way of new tobaccos. America gets new blends and special limited editions all the time but over here it's a pretty rare occurrence.

Thank you for your comment  . As already mentioned we are a very small company of 30 staff including production, sales and office staff. And we produce mostly in a traditional way and so are limited as to how much we can produce in a given time scale. And as you rightly point out this makes it difficult to keep up with demand. However we work hard to fulfil all orders placed by the distributors within a timely fashion and ship as soon as we can.

The UK is a completely different market as we do not need to sell to and rely on an importer/distributor. We sell to wholesalers and shops via our sales team and so it is not one large order being produced and shipped all at the same time. Not actually true that America gets lots of new blends and limited edition specials as we are very limited as to what we can sell in America due to FDA rules as you cannot simply introduce and sell new products. We can in the UK and it's also easier to do smaller batch runs, although any product must be registered and that all costs.

They might be having trouble sourcing specific kinds of leave and need to come out with what they have available... It's a possibilty.
Cabbies isn't to the liking of many people, but I've heard it improves greatly with aging.

When I said America gets lots of new blends I meant from the American companies such as Cornell and Diehl etc not Gawith. Thanks for the reply though as it cleared a few things up.

Yup, I might need to unsubscribe to the Watch City newsletter. New release envy is definitely a thing for me.

Can companies outside the US not export new blends? I thought that was part of the whole deeming regulations thing and wasn't a factor yet.

How does Mac Baren manage it with their limited editions? Do they do it through Sutliff?

And you're talking out of yours........
Big Timer like yourself should move to England & buy the lot! (You'd have to improve your manners first of course).
You are right, my manners are not good on this thread and I was taught if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all.

I wish to apologize to the folks at GH and I do wish you the best and I hope all of my pipe smoking brethren get as much GH and SG product they can get.

I am all set for my SG flakes and have been since 2012. I have tried a few of the GH offerings but they were not for my tastes.
