love that movie. Even if there is something wrong with the premise. And yes it seems people thought there was something off about a British guy playing a silly Indian man even in the 60's. Though great movie and worth checking out if you like laughing.

If it was your room, your aesthetic would prevail. Since it's a shared bedroom, I'd consider both sides of the disagreement - your side and the outside.

I'm more concerned with the bottles stored on their side. I was under the impression this is not desirable for strong spirits.
