Don't go googling - just firsthand old fashioned experience
As you may or may not know for 3 months I have been experiencing strange and sometime debilitating health issues
I'm relatively young and visited a physician who deemed me 'clean bill of health'
They symptoms have persisted so I've scheduled with a urologist in my difficult town there was a month lead time for appointment but it's approaching
The thing I want to know is have any of you ever experienced withdrawal relating to spasms or pain (musculoskeletal or nerve)
Reason I ask is prior to all of this - mainly pain in my flank and radiating to groin coupled with gastrointestinal issues - feels like what people describe with kidney stones or hernias

Just prior to the start of this - I cut down significantly on smoking
then I altogether quit for two months now(I never planned on qutting as I have in the past twice for 1 year increments) but have never experienced anything like this - Yes cigarettes were tough and caused pain and agony but not this strangely
There's a good chance I have 'lyme disease' whatever big-med deems that these days - but was wondering if any of you had any experience. I was considering lighting up a few bowls just to test the waters, see if it alleviates it. I know nicotine is a very potent drug so coming off is a lot like heroin or alcohol. thanks

I'm not "officially" a doctor, but I play one in the back of a non-descript white utility van.
This could be one of a number of things, but I do know a little about kidney stones. I've passed enough of them to gravel my driveway. The only way I could see quitting smoking your pipe could trigger the release of a stone is if it dramatically changed the PH of your urine in the bladder. But, I severely doubt that is a thing.
For me, when I stopped using a photography darkroom, no longer having my hands in acids triggered me to start passing them.

Ever since I had my first vaccine though, I find that I am easily fatigued. Just walking across the road right now makes me feel like I am having a strain on my heart. And, at night when I usually smoke my heavy hitting blends, I feel more like I am having palpitations. And, I am rather healthy, jogging each day with lots of bike riding. Hopefully this will either go away or kill me. The doctor is not sure, because they don't know jackshit about these vaccines they're cramming down our throats.

You probably didn't need the vaccine - I may actually have what they call 'long COVID' I had something exactly a little over 1 year ago and it felt like glass in the lungs - not a typical flu -
but what you say about the ph and kidney stones actually makes a lot of sense

But mind, I am not sure that even if you smoked a lot of Virginias everyday, if that would be enough to make your body's PH go down. I'm just guessing off the top of my head.

Being old, everyone is scared I'm going to die from the Ronas. I'm not exactly scared of deat5h, but as my wife reminds me, I still have a ways to go to paying off the mortgage, ha ha. So, they stuck me. Not looking forward to the next shot. If the first one is any indication of how bad the next one will be, I'll probably die on the way home. se la vie

Let them do one of those kitty CAT scan things. That will make whatever this is completely obvious.
Last week, I took my daughter to the doctor to see if she was having girl problems, and after they scanned her kitty Cat, they did an appendectomy. Hell, Cat scans may cause appendicitis, ha ha.

That will be $45, leave it with the lady in the front seat of the van. Watch your head as you leave. puffy

Regarding the nicotine question, I imagine every individual handles it differently. When I stopped a pack a day Lucky Strike habit ~18 years ago, I stopped cold turkey and didn't touch a tobacco product for maybe 15 years before having an occasional cigar and pipe eventually.

I had no physical withdrawal reactions from the removal of nicotine from my system. I know that's not the case for everyone.

Have you considered anxiety? Sounds crazy, but it was the cause of all of my heart attacks that weren’t heart attacks...it also gave me an ulcer I didn’t really have, and it’s now causing me breathing problems that my healthy lungs don’t actually have hahaha.

Not to mention digestion issues, numbness, fatigue...

If you’re young and healthy and confused about a weird symptom, I’d check anxiety first. It causes all of my health issues ?

That's what my GI doc siad - stress and anxiety induced spasming - the weird thing is these wha these call Somatic effects are REAL - so you know firsthand the hell it causes - the only thing I'd say would give it some thought is that when I take painkillers like CBD/antiimflammatory/antianxiety stuff - It works - it all just goes away - the thing is - I can't keep vaping/taking CBD every 4 hours - it seems ridiculous.

They wanted to put me on heavy duty stuff, but I am stubborn and optimistic so I opted to try and work through some of the things that might be the source of my stress without any medication. So far so good, but occasional flare-ups remind me that it’s something that needs constant upkeep, it isn’t something that just goes away.

When the pandemic first started it interrupted my normal smoking pattern and greatly reduced it... I had a few panic attacks at that time. Granted, part of it was the new scary situation, but normally I am pretty calm when it comes to that.

I believe nicotine causes anxiety... I have a touch of it every now and then. I pretty much chock it up to too much nicotine or caffeine.

I never thought CBD is real.. I figured it's just a way to get moderate people to be ok with the idea of getting high. The active ingredient in weed is THC, that's what these CBD people really want.

Same here. I use CBD to help when needed. Exercise helps and, to be honest, smoking a pipe helps when I can do that.

No. People take CBD for the benefits of CBD, which can be many. There is no high at all. Also, CBD inhibits the psychoactive affects of THC so there are therapeutic products that contain CBD and THC in balanced proportions where no high is produced. Those products can be obtained through licensed dispensaries. Bottom line, people looking for a high would not use CBD/hemp.

I see the point your making... but just look at the packaging on that stuff. There has always been a like product by a different name, at head shops and crappy gas stations.

If It would work for my wife's back pain I'm sure she would use it. She tried some topical cream.. but maybe she didn't give it a chance.

The funniest thing about it to me is to see old people buying and using it.. I mean after all it is made from the devils lettuce. Haha Like my 85 year old grandmother, who is a baptist from the bible belt.. asking about it. If she knew what it was she'd shit herself, and pray for the rest of the day.

Totally. And there is no regulation for CBD products. There are a lot of scams out there and it’s not a cure-all. We live next to a state that has dispensaries so we are able to get stuff that is reliably sourced. Plus some products have THC, like the muscle rub, which helps. We have some CBD products we have bought online but are very careful to try verify sources because there are a lot of scams. One product we bought locally, liked it, then bought it online. Another was highly recommended by friends.

I suggest you check out mrhempflower.com - It will 100% help with your wife's back issues. You can buy the edibles, or get the leaf and smoke it or put it in a leaf vape. There is no head high. You can buy delta 8 infused cbd from them as well - it will cause a slight head high but not like a 'pot head' high 'mannnnn.

There are a lot of factors that would relate to whether it works or not, including dosage, quality and how it’s administered. Back pain sucks, especially because there are so many elements to it. There might be better things for that type of pain. I’m sure some products are just using CBD for marketing rather than as a true therapeutic ingredient.
