Been enjoying the results of cellaring some PS LNF. This is the only Navy Flake I’ve smoked. What other navy flake blends are good and tell me why.

Freiborg and Treyer Special Brown flake. Its a beautiful dark flake with a nice thin cut. The rum is minimal.
Not a flake (plug), but Dan's Salty Dog is a very nice example of the genre. Surprisingly mild but flavorful.

Make no mistake, Navy Flake denotes the cut not the presence of rum. Some Navy Flakes have rum, some don't. I would suggest Newminster Superior Navy Flake. Flavorful, available, and ages wonderfully.
Samuel Gawith and Mac Baren Navy Flake.
There seems to be a relaxed interpretation of the term Navy Flake.
I recommend double checking the contents of each new specimen before buying.
That said, I too like the Samuel Gawith one quite a bit. (which also has a bit of latakia)

What Chasing Embers said: Newminster SNF. Cheap, readily available and a gosh darn good flavor and tin note.
I also agree with Newminster. It’s cost effective and it’s not hard to enjoy. Give that one a try.
Mac Baren Navy Flake per Hoosier. It's a very very nice blend. With age its even better.
NEWMINSTER! NEWMINSTER! NEWMINSTER! Kind of enthusiastic about the ol' #400.
honestly in my opinion any of them. IT's a kind of perfect style of tobacco.
MacBaren Navy Flake is my favorite tobacco, and GL Pease Windjammer is technically sort of a Navy Flake and I really enjoy that one as well. PSLNF is also excellent. I think I just really like a Navy Flake.

I also enjoyed this. If you like this, also look into Comoy's Cask #4. To me it seemed like a slightly more refined Newminster Navy Flake.
