Natural American Spirit Pipe Tobacco

Dear colleagues, any experience in regards to this claimed to be a pure Native American pipe tobacco without additives?
Thanks for sharing, I am wondering if it is a good one to try.

It’s been about 22 years but I used to smoke pouches of American spirit blue. I don’t remember anything about it but I enjoyed it.

Thank you! I am a new in pipe smoking and never was a smoker before, therefore I was uncertain if this tobacco can be used in a pipe or only in cigarretes.

Back then I mostly smoked lucky strikes and had a phase where I did RYO both as a cigarette and in a corn cob. During that phase, I smoked American spirit blue and bugler blue both rolled and in a cob.

When it comes to tobacco my motto is if you like it then smoke it. If you don't, well you don't. Leave it for the next guy.

American spirit cigarettes are the best quality you can buy, I still enjoy one or two with coffee in the morning. As far as pipe tobacco? No it's RYO cigarette tobacco but you will not find a better tasting cigarette tobacco.

And it's not native American tobacco. Made right here in North Carolina. Also just a fun fact, in the movies that still have cigarette smoking usually they Will have a pack of Morley's, Hollywood owned brand name but the cigarettes themselves nine times out of ten are American spirits, you can clearly see the eagle on the paper. Those actors won't be smoking crap like buoy silver

It’s just tobacco… RYO is usually just a finer cut, like shag. However, “Pipe Tobacco” as it is sold today is usually classified as pipe tobacco for the tax status, and a wider ribbon cut.

Many times manufactured cigarettes contain reconstituted tobacco, which is finely ground (like snuff), mixed with water and binders and other additives and rolled out like sheets of paper, then sliced into ribbons.

Some reports indicate it is not "all" natural and has a much higher nicotine content than other cigarrette brands. I do occasionally enjoy the menthol light green pack and the light yellow pack ... both of which taste to be straight virginia.

Yeah, I understood that...I was just attempting humor...your comment sounded applicable to some other recreational substance.

I don’t know what accessibility is like in Sweden but if it’s something you have easy access to, you might like it! “RYO” can be totally fine in a pipe, don’t write it off. Here’s a pic of current production Bugler taken today. The cut isn’t much different from a number of my “pipe tobacco” blends.
