So I’ve been smoking a pipe for maybe a couple months. I have a small can from Bennington tobacconist labeled “60”.
I hadn’t tried it as it was square strips in a bag I didn’t know what to do with. It has a sweet smell but couldn’t find any info online about it. So I rolled some between my palms to break it up and let it dry a couple minutes before packing it.
It was kind of a boring flavor for the most part but that could just be my inexperience. Either way, as I smoked through it I had found pockets of sour smoke I guess. It was like a sourness on the edges of my tongue. I actually liked that, but I have no idea if it’s meant to be that way or not. I tend to lean towards English and aromatic blends and haven’t been very excited about the blends with mostly burley.
So does anyone know what I’m describing and is that on purpose? I don’t know how old the can is.
