I sold some aged tobacco tins on here and used the proceeds to buy a new Neerup pipe, but, why buy one when you can have two!
I bought my first Neerup a month or so ago and have been really impressed with the pipe, it's looks, smoking ability, and most of all the price! So I decided to buy another one. But then a P. Jeppesen Handmade pipe caught my eye and decided to purchase that too. Received both today in the mail. Can't wait to load em up and smoke.

they look handsome but the stems are a concern for me. How do you like yours so far?

They both smoke great. The Bent Apple takes a pipe cleaner well. The Billiard I can get the pipe cleaner down to where the airway meets the bowl, but I can't get it to into the bowl proper due to the steep angle. But it smokes great and it's nothing I can't deal with.

Thanks guys. Enjoying them immensely puffy

Lovely Neerups! Good score my friend! I’m a big fan of his work! I think they are the best inexpensive high grade pipes on the market. I have at least 2 of his pipes that feel & look like they could have gone for a over a grand easily, I have 7 in total and don’t think I spent over $250 for any of them, $90 being the cheapest. The only downside to his pipes is, most of his chambers are very large… no biggie for me.

I had the opposite thought. Lovely as Peder's work is, the chambers were too small to keep.

Peder does great work. Keep an eye out for his fishing pipes, and in the fall his full moon pipes are definitely something to behold.

The bowl in the Bent Apple is a 2, while the Billard is a 4 and does have a huge chamber, but I like that sometimes for a long smoke.

I've certainly become a big fan. You just can't beat the price point for the quality and looks.

The apple in my photo was a 4, and the pot was a 3. I tend toward group 6 but prefer magnum.

I have 5-6 Jeppesen pipes, mostly Neerups. I like the way they feel in hand, and the shape - even though they’re non typical shapes… ( Danish - duh ) ?

I have been wanting a Harvest Moon and a Salmon, but I just haven’t gotten around to ordering. I have too many pipes as it is.

Love my Neerup! Its large compared to most of my pipes, but it smokes a English mixture like a dream with the wide and deep bowl. I always had the impression the grades he uses are related to wood and stemmaterials, not on size. To bad they are hard to get now, smokingpipes and danishpipeshop have a small stock or even none. Last time Peder was on a pipeclub interview, maybe they talked supply issues.

That's interesting. I was under the impression the grades were about size. Hmm.
Anybody know the facts about this?

Mine is like said a grade 2, according to the seller 22x44 mm inside dimensions, higher grade 3 is 21x43mm but with somekind of metal on the band, there is also a grade 4 for sale which is smaller at 21x38 but with it seems silver band. The grains on both higher grades are clearly nicer than mine.
