Kids and slang, it's a tricky decoding challenge. Could be a drug reference as newbie says. Could be a video game

reference, as several others have pointed out. It certainly bears investigating, but I wouldn't jump to the worst

conclusions until you've looked a little further. Sometimes/often drug culture slang will be adopted innocently for

more innocuous activities. But you're a good parent for picking up on this and being concerned. You don't want to

jump the kid about drugs unless you have cause. The kid will really be alarmed if you draw that conclusion and it's

something ordinary. Sometimes just talking to the kid helps. You could ask him off handedly about the slang, not

mentioning where you heard it, and see if he looks uncomfortable or defensive. Just say you heard a kid saying it and

wondered what it meant in the current lingo. Then read your kids non-verbal signals. If he comes up with a video

game explanation, ask to see the game, in the spirit of inquisitive fun.

I didn't take the initial post seriously either. If someone was going to hide something in a dwarf, you wouldn't grind it, but drill it. And, if I heard my kids talking about something that left me suspicious, I wouldn't immediately jump to the 80's sitcom (Three's Company) conclusion, I would ask them. I just thought that this was a nice play with words, and a clever and entertaining post. I enjoyed it, and appreciated the opportunity to make a few genitalia jokes.

Thanks!!

Hopefully it is gaming slang, but having a teen in the house myself, half the time I don't understand what the hell is coming out of her mouth. When did speaking English become impractical? Anyway, if you are that worried for him, and you obviously are, just find some time to ask him about it.

Well, I think it is quite alright to have a little bit of a laughter every now and again. Life would be so boring otherwise.

Jorge, I have heard some of the most perplexing combinations of words come out of my daughter's mouth that I thought I I knew what she was talking about, but was far beyond my 40 year old comprehension. Kids make us all quite daft.

+1 To the gamer references.
Great title. :) Just had a similar conversation with an older neighbor.
Nothing to worry about. That's common gamer jargon. Also, it could be a million other games besides World of Warcraft.

I hate it when they are trying to be all that smart.

My spell checker keeps telling me that "dwarves" is misspelled. I don't write that word very often, never in fact, but I could have sworn that "dwarves" was the plural of "dwarf." Or, is it "dwarfs?"
Both forms are correct, don't worry.

@jorge Me too. Just try to find a way to approach him and talk about it. Might have a good laugh over it, or may save his life in the process.
