It's a cheap cabinet made of particle board/chip board and the top that looks like wood is actually some sort of contact paper/sticker to look like butcher block. I'd like a wood cabinet that has a couple of doors (maybe glass doors) on top. Painting it is an option until I find the right one.

Very cool! I am restarting my goal of reading one good biography of every US president, starting with Washington. I can't think of a better way to enjoy a bowl....pipe in one hand, good book in another, coffee or bourbon on the side table..
