My Smoking Room/Porch...Another Jefferson To Keep Me Company.

Back in 2018 I gutted our enclosed back porch and converted it into my own personal smoking room. It's still a work in progress...still searching for a new cabinet to replace the white cabinet and I still need a pad for the wooden bench that I sit on. Here is a pic from 2018.

In the pic, from left to right are busts of George Washington, Abe Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin and a small Jefferson under Ben.

Yesterday I picked up another Thomas Jefferson with a wooden pedestal/cabinet that opens and has shelves...more tobacco space. See pic below.

The large busts are 26-28" high and Abe is 18".

The best part of all of this...everything was free. I'm retired and I work a part-time job a couple of mornings a week and my employer did a mass remodel and didn't want them anymore.

Damn, people just throwing presidential busts away. Maybe you'll get enough that you can spray paint them white and black and make a big chess set.

Very cool! I am restarting my goal of reading one good biography of every US president, starting with Washington. I can't think of a better way to enjoy a bowl....pipe in one hand, good book in another, coffee or bourbon on the side table..

If I were only surrounded by those greats to keep me company...

Love the Jeffersons. I live in driving distance of Monticello and recommended a new coworker who recently moved to the area to visit it with her visiting family members. She shot me a look of disdain and with the ugliest face I've seen in sometime said "Jefferson was a serial rapist". In disbelief at what I heard I thought for a second she was joking. Nope. Dead serious. If you go woke you'll go broke my friends.

Keep adding to your collection. Nice to have smoking companions.

We traveled to Colonial Williamsburg, Monticello, Richmond... about 15 years ago. I loved every minute of it.
