The episode “Jose Chung’s From Outer Space” is genius. I won’t give any spoilers. Really funny, especially once you get to know Mulder and Scully.

Absolutely...fantastic episode. But I agree that it may not be fully appreciated by someone who's not well acquainted with the show. Or for that matter, with the UFO/alien mythology and subculture in general. They packed a lot of references into that episode.
