Nyet. "In-A-Tub" is a local chain of taco stands.
But come to think of it, feeding kids farm-style has much to recommend it... Hmmm... Maybe she meant BOTH?

Well, this thread sure went way past the "Nice pipe, congrats!" typical replies.
Being one of little humor and few words, let me just say, Nice pipe, congrats!

I've been following her pipes for a while (she used to participate regularly on the BoB forum). She's really came a long way but it's disturbing to hear how she treats the children. But, if that's what it takes to get a great looking pipe like that Canadian, so be it. In the end, they'll be better for it.

Now that's a Canadian!

Yowza!
The juma sets it off perfectly,

the stainwork and blastwork really brings it into the sweet spot.
What a nice block of briar that must've been,

she chose well and executed to perfection.
I'm very drawn to the Scottie-style and I'm gonna hafta pick one up before too long!

Do these carvers travel to Europe to select their briar at the mill? Do they have a professional connection with a cutter? Do they treat their briar in any proprietary way as does Lee Von Erck, for example, who spent several years developing an oil curing process that gives his carefully selected briar a uniquely nutty smooth smoking performance? What do these new high line carvers offer beyond a pretty piece of carving?

Otherwise, we just have yet another empty exchange where one person says new makers can be worth the money and someone else states the opposite. I have no problem stating my belief that most pipe smokers know a lot more about tobaccos than they do about pipes. I also have no problem with stating that before I shell out $800 and up for a pipe, I want to know that it's more than aesthetically pleasing.
I want to thank Mr Pond, the sort of quiet erudite fellow who doesn't laugh at his own bon mots and who wouldn't ever consider dropping his diapers and taking a dump on another's breakfast, for for encouraging me to offer my reasons for commissioning this pipe from Scottie. I'm sure that the erudite Pond will be more than happy to share his encyclopedic knowledge and explain chamber geometry and its effect of combustion and flavor.
I think we can all appreciate that there are times when a pipe calls our name and we bend our rules. It's the nature of collecting and it's the point I referenced above in my earlier post. If you can't laugh at yourself that's your problem.

Guess they would survive okay on rice and beans
Yeah they'll grow up big an' mean, just like me! Also, if they do yard work, I could really use some landscaping help!
isn't chili the official dish of Texas?
Bit of an inside joke I suppose. I said once, I save a lot of money by eating rice and beans. It lead to comments about how, basically, I'm way too fat to be just eating rice and beans. Someone else cleared it up by pointing out, I eat A LOT of rice and beans.

True on all counts.

So I put a couple pounds of Pork Shoulder in the pot, that's neither here nor there. My point was not about going on a diet, it was about being a cheap barstard !

I just noticed that the color of your pipe and the color of the sauce on the Mexican food pictured in the image in georged's post (above) are very similar. Coincidence? [:)]
I sent Scottie a bottle of Cholula and asked her to match the color. I have to admit, she did an excellent job.
