I’ve been using those too…. i get a knock off one at the dollar store, never seen an actual bic version, but they are awesome. I originally bought one for my gas stove, but the transition was pretty obvious for a pipe smoker …. I’d like to maybe get a nice chrome high end lighter one day, but I also don’t really care… :)

I got a few knock-offs at the local dollar store that are refillable. They are great and I’ve been using them a couple of years and they are still going.
Funny, I just looked at the bottom of mine, and I’ll be damned it looks like it is refillable. A small hole with a metal ring inside, for a one Canadian dollar store disposable lighter, 75 cents US. Lol. The ones I have are stamped with Major as the brand.

It is a lighter that is very convenient for pipe smoking.
It's especially convenient to light the Tobacco half left in a bowl.

It's also a lighter I recommend for anyone who wants to start smoking pipes on a low budget.

I use the IM Corona lighter, but in tough environments like going fishing,
I use the same type lighter as yours. It's not a BIC, but a cheap Chinese product about a dollar.

That’s the one I have. I’m using two and the only quality issue is the lack of a flame control. One lighter produces an inch flame and the other inch and a half.

Was standing in checkout and saw these in the spontaneous purchase area. Needed something to light the charcoal on the grill (old one fizzled out) and grabbed one. I thought it might be a really good pipe lighter. And it is! I'm not throwing away my Pipemasters or Kiribis but I may buy a couple more of these for going out purposes.

I bought a knock-off version of that Bic at Menards a month ago to spark up the tobacco in my newly acquired MM General. It worked so well I immediately picked up the Bic version at Target.
Both are reliable inexpensive pipe lighters.
