How aged is perfection? I have some tins from 2015. I'm not in a hurry to open them but was curious the age of your last 8 ounces.
Approximately 10 years old. Perhaps more perfection is possible? I just know it is much more enjoyable than a Dunhill tin from 17 I've dipped into and blows the socks off of a '20 Peterson-branded tin. I enjoy the new stuff as well, but the aged bulk was an epiphany for me.

I guess it depends how nuanced your taste is in terms of finding matches similar to the original. I don't find them spot-on, but I often like the match blends nearly as well, as well, or occasionally a little better.
My thing is I wouldn't want to spend the money and be disappointed. Especially since they still make it.
But of course the plus side would be if it is really close to the original it would be a better price point.
